Sir William Borlase's Grammar School Marlow, England - see Map

Welcome to the web site for those who joined Borlase's 1st Form in September 1953. We held our first reunion after 50 years in September 2003. We continue to meet for pub lunches from time to time. These informal occasions are spent rekindling past friendships, reminiscing our memorable Borlase and life experiences, and generally having a good laugh. If any OB would like to join us please contact anyone on the Borlase53 Organisers list. You will be very welcome indeed.

Douglas Ford Sadly our friend Doug Ford died on 8th October 2008. Doug had overcome cancer a few years ago but it had re-occurred by the time he attended our last lunch in February 2008.

Our next pub lunch will be in the autumn 2012 at The Spade Oak near Bourne End, details to be circulated nearer the time. All from Borlase 1953 are welcome. Pictures from previous lunches can be seen in our "Recent Years" collection of photos.

You'll find photos in the Photo Library including five new photos from our school years kindly donated by Ian Benfield who joined us for the first time in 2008 (click on "Schooldays" do go straight there).

If you have any Borlase pictures from the 1950s, recent personal photos or interesting pictures from the intervening years which you would like displayed on this site please email Chris Clarke. I recommend you to read about Brian Milton's incredible flying exploits via the link to his website. A link to Chris Clarke's personal website also has been added. If you have a personal website and wish a link to be inserted on this site email the details to Chris.

Tracing ex-pupils from our classes between 1953 and 1960 is our biggest challenge. Click here to see our Roll Of Honour. If you have any clues which may help to trace anyone new please inform Chris Clarke.

The Old Borlasian Club We are not the official Old Borlasian Club. If you need any information from the OB Club Secretary please email the OB Club Secretary John Barry.
